Upon graduating from college in 2004 Matt set out to do exactly what Mom told him… get a job at a “big” company with benefits, so he landed a sales position with one of the largest publicly traded payroll companies, where he would passionately be known as G257. Wait, that’s not right… Who wants to be known as a number? Inspired to make a change, Matt crushed his mom’s dreams and he started his own business, PaySphere, with his wife Jesse in 2012. Building it into one of the fastest-growing companies in America, PaySphere was recognized several times on the Inc. 5000.
As Matt gained recognition in the payroll industry, he also received recognition from business owners like Randy. In fact, upon meeting in 2010, Randy and Matt developed a bond and continued to stay in touch until they finally decided to merge their companies in 2020. Today, Matt leads Alliance’s growth initiatives and brings his passionate battle cry “Never Just Be A Number” to our Warriors and clients.
Matt is a proud graduate of The Oaks Elementary in Humble, TX, where he is probably the only student in history who had to retake the Gifted and Talented test. Today, he spends his time at Irish Dance competitions with his daughter or working on his Matrix impersonation, dodging nerf bullets from his two boys. If he and Jesse find a chance to get away, the destination more than likely has sand, water, and hopefully, fair winds and following seas.
